Making violence men's business

In central Australia, anti-violence campaigners are concerned that cultural practices such as payback are used to commit terrible acts of violence. In the first three months of this year, 455 assaults were reported. And in the past six years the number of assaults in Alice Springs have almost doubled. Efforts by Aboriginal men to stop the cycle of misery is the focus of this weekend's Background Briefing on ABC Radio National.
